Description

The purpose of the research group is to strengthen, coordinate and concentrate the research at VID that are addressing aspects and processes of education and learning. The research group encompasses projects exploring learning at diverse areas: in the classroom, on the web, in the skills lab and in the professional practice. Research profile The thematic area for the research group is research on learning in professional education and practice. The purpose of the group is to strengthen the quality of the research in this field and to build competence within VID through a collaborative work on research ideas, development of research designs, theoretical perspectives, methodological aspects and the process of writing and publishing research. The research group is overarching all campuses of VID and has members in all three regions of VID. VID has ambition of being a significant and distinct agent in the landscape of higher education in Norway, anchored in a diaconal tradition. A particular emphasize is hence put on research on learning of ethics and values as well as research that give insight in learning processes and formative processes that influence the quality of care and services. Research projects that emphasize partnership between professional education and professional practice in health and social care are highlighted.
