During the summer and fall 2009, a group of New Mexico arts organizations joined together to present LAND/ART, which explored relationships of land, art, and community through exhibitions, site-specific art works, lectures, and a culminating book. The collaboration focused on “environmental” or “land” art, and sought to address our changing relationship to nature, and to offer a new or previously unconsidered understanding of the place in which we live. My contribution was titled Portable Grove.
2009 Guandu International outdoor Sculpture Festival, Taipei, Taiwan. My temporary site-specific sculpture installation, In Deep Water was made primarily to raise awareness concerning environmental issues, related to land, water and culture. It work was constructed entirely from locally harvested bamboo and made during a 15-day residency.
Livets Træer: Kunst, arkitektur og møbeldesign. Kunstnere fra ind- og udland udstiller og skaber nye værker til udstillingen inden for såvel billedkunst, land art, skulptur, møbeldesign som arkitektur. Også enkelte afdøde kunstneres markante værker er indplaceret i udstillingen. My site-specific work was titled, Bandelier, pyrography on silver birch.
Participation in this project is by direct invitation of the curator of the Biennale Michael Liborio. Commissaire d’exposition – Museographe. The idea of setting up a seasonal exhibition of contemporary art on the natural sites of the island of Oléron arose from the 2012 edition of Les Rendez-vous de Juillet à ciel ouvert, an event that showcased ephemeral in situ art installations in St Trojan les bains this event is strongly supported by the Mayor of St Trojan.
