PhD from School of Biology, University of St. Andrews (Scotland, 2008). Worked as associate professor at FBA since Feb. 2011. Program responsible for Bachelor in aquaculture management. Teaching in subjects such as physiology, fish growth and nutrition. Course responsible for AK220F – Fish nutrition and feeding & KV301F – Muscle development and growth. Supervision of bachelor, master and PhD thesis’s dealing with fish quality, growth and feeding in aquaculture, incl. practical lab work. Coordinator for the research unit Seafood quality. The research is mostly of an applied character in collaboration with the industry whit focus on identifying and solving problems in commercial farming in the grow-out phase. The research focus in resent time has been projects within: - Alternative feed ingredients - Feeding regimes - Quality in fish (environment and feed) - Production, growth and quality of sterile fish
