Description
CODE is a research group focusing on community development practices in communities and civil society in different global contexts. Seeing people as an important resource in transformation processes, we focus on asset-based community development through critical theories and methods such as mapping, motivation, and empowerment. CODE is an interdisciplinary research group of researchers from different faculties and centres at VID, especially linked to the field of diaconal studies and research on faith-based actors. CODE also has a broad international network including collaboration with faculties in the Czech Republic, Ethiopia, Finland, Madagascar, South Africa, and Zimbabwe.
